We went here for Houston Restaurant Week for my husband’s birthday, and we were not disappointed. My husband had the open-faced ribeye sandwich, which was smothered in mushrooms and onions on garlic bread.  He said it was the best steak he’s ever eaten.  I had the filet and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly.  My caesar salad was average.  My husband had the key lime pie for dessert and I had the chocolate mousse, and both of them were good.  Again, this is a “splurge” restaurant, but we will definitely be back for a special occasion.  The steaks are why we’ll come back. They were cooked exactly as we ordered them and they were fantastic.  The service was great. The server did tell us that their busiest times were Monday-Friday, and that Saturday and Sunday it’s very quiet.  Parking was a little difficult, since we’re not familiar with downtown Houston, but you can park in the parking garage behind the restaurant or across the street from the restaurant.  I would recommend parking across the street from the restaurant, because we parked behind the restaurant and had to walk by an ally with a lot of stinky trash.  I thought this restaurant went above and beyond, because when I told them we were going there for my husband’s birthday, they actually put ‘Happy Birthday’ on the menu.  It’s the little things….

and p.s. – a year later he is STILL talking about that ribeye sandwhich.
