Joining a Professional Organization

Think about joining a professional organization!  If you are an OB nurse, you should consider joining the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN for short).

 Join AWHONN here

If you join, put me down as the person who recruited you (Shelly Gray #803254) and then shoot me a message or an email saying you did so — I will raffle off prizes I get for recruiting.  Why do I do that?!  Because I seriously think it’s that important to be a part of your professional organization.  I don’t work for AWHONN, I’m just a regular old member.  Kind of like a groupie though 🙂  I think it’s vital that nurses are vested in their profession.  OB is such a small world…much smaller than you probably realize. It’s a great way to network and you get access to all sorts of current, evidence-based information.  We all do this crazy-wonderful job because we love our patients and their babies. Because of that, I want to know I’m providing them with the best care possible.

Membership is $17 a month, or $9 a month for retired RNs and students (tax deduction!!!).  Let AWHONN empower you to expand your career development, elevate your nursing practice, and connect you with exceptional mentors and new friends <—-  🙂
